Shraddha Das (born 03 4, 1987) is an Indian film actress who has mainly appeared within Telugu films.
Shraddha Das was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra to Bengali mother and father. [1] Her father is a businessman, who hails from Purulia, while her mother is really a housewife. She was brought up in Mumbai, where she completed her research. Shraddha Das graduated from University of Mumbai with a Bachelor of Mass Press degree in journalism.
Shraddha Das made her acting debut in 2008 using the Telugu film Sidhu from Srikakulam. She thereafter starred in a number associated with Telugu films, including Target, 18, 20 Love Story, Diary and Adhineta, which all turned out to be critically and commercially unsuccessful.
She played the female lead in Adhineta, the woman's sixth film in Telugu with hero Jagapati Babu and director Samudra. She played another female lead in the remake of Maro Charitra produced by Dil Raju, reverse Varun Sandesh. She then landed a lead role in Sai Om Films' first venture Lahore, directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan. Shraddha Das played a Pakistani character within the film, cast opposite Aanaahad, and received critical acclaim for her performance. The film was launched in March 2010 and won awards at the 42nd WorldFest-Houston International Movie Festival. Due to her appearances in the sequels of Arya (Arya 2), Rule (Diary) and Chandramukhi (Nagavalli), Shraddha Das has acquired the nickname "sequel queen".
