Nanban is definitely an upcoming Tamil comedy drama film aimed by S. Shankar. The film features an ensemble cast which includes Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and Ileana D'Cruz. The actual soundtrack and background score is through Harris Jayaraj, working with Shankar for that second time after Anniyan (2005). Filming began in March 2011 carrying out a lengthy delay in casting. It is really a remake of the 2009 Bollywood blockbuster movie 3 Idiots, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, that was adapted from the novel Five Stage Someone by Chetan Bhagat. The film is going to be dubbed into Telugu as 3 Rascals. The film happens to be in post-production stage, set to discharge for 2012 Pongal.
