Silk Smitha was born on 2nd December 1960 at Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. She left school after her 4th standard. Smitha ran away to Madras and started her Film Career. She was a famous Vamp Artist in South Indian Movies. Subsequently she became probably the most wanted Vamp Actress of the actual 1980s.
Silk Smitha did more than 450 films in Tollywood, Kollywood and Bollywood etc. She committed suicide on 23rd September 1996 at Chennai.
